The
Department of Modern Languages offers majors in
French, Portuguese, and Spanish language. We
also offer minors in French, Portuguese,
Spanish, and Translation. There is also an
undergraduate certificate in Translation and
Interpretation. In Spring of 2008 the College of
Arts and Sciences also approved a fast track
program which allows students to finish an M.A.
in Spanish faster through admission in our 4+1
BA/MA.
Our
objective is to help students master the
language they study and gain a profound
understanding of the cultures entwined with the
development of the language; as well as their
impact on society at a global scale.
