Our Haitian Creole courses focus on Haiti
through an interdisciplinary approach. They are designed for
students who would like to expand their knowledge of the
language and the places, cultures and the society that the
language influences. The courses offer the opportunity to
gain a better understanding of the social, historical and
political development of the Haitian society and to discover
various aspects of the Haitian culture.
The Department of Modern Languages does not
promote a degree or certificate in Creole rather the courses
are designed to fulfill certain credits within a French B.A.
or minor.
