Employee of the Month April 2004

I am delighted to announce that Employee of the Month for April is Mariloli Obregon,. Mariloli first joined the library staff as Clerk III in the Catalog Department, half time. In 1986, she was appointed to the staff of the Reference Department where she has remained ever since. Currently, she is Senior Secretary.

Valerie Boulos, Head, Reference and Instructional Services, describes Mariloli as ". . . polite, courteous, and responsive to the needs of the Reference Staff and its patrons. She always has a friendly smile and a wonderful "can do" attitude." Over the years, she has updated her office skills to keep pace with the needs of this very large department, learning Excel, Access, and HTML to support a number of reference projects. Her work has involved everything from reference statistics to serials collection management projects, also fund management and web page creation.

We hope Mariloli will continue to be a smiling presence at the reference desk, and throughout the library, for years to come! Congratulations to her on this recognition.
