Program Description

[yellow ball] Criteria, Procedures, and Schedule of Awards Presentations -- Each candidate must possess the following qualities to be considered for recognition:
  1. Eligibility
    • Non-professional OPS and college work study only.
    • Enrollment as a student in Florida International University is not necessary.
    • The nominee must have been employed no less than 14 days from the beginning of the semester.
  2. Criteria for Selection
    • Job knowledge
    • Quality of work
    • Productivity
    • Dependability
    • Attendance
  3. Nominations
    • Nominations must be submitted by the supervisor or acting supervisor of the candidate being nominated.
    • Nominations will need to be submitted in writing (email is okay) to the committee chair.
    • Nominations should support the candidate, using the criteria as the basis for support.
    • The committee will consider all nominations submitted by the deadline.
  4. Schedule and Deadlines
    • Nominations should be received according to the schedule as announced on the Nominations website.
    • Decisions will be made in committee meeting immediately following the end of the nominations period.
    • The award will be made or presented as soon as possible after the committee's selections have been forwarded to the Library Director.
  5. Awards
    • Semester Awards -- 6 awards will be given (4 from UP and 2 from BBC). Semester awards can be given to candidates only if they have been employed from the beginning of the semester. This recognition is in written form, and may include gift certificates and other value prizes. The awards will be presented for fall and spring semester.
    Note: Award schedules and values are subject to change.
