OUR MISSION

Every Child Counts Literacy and Special Education Project, a collaboration of Florida International University and St. Francis de Sales Church, Abaco, The Bahamas, provides assistance, materials, and training to exceptional children and their teachers and parents.

Accordingly, ECC:

	identifies children with learning difficulties and other educational handicaps;
	provides individualized or adapted instruction to children with learning difficulties to help them reach their full potential;
	offers training seminars to teachers, parents, and other assistants with strategies on dealing with learning difficulties; and
	builds local capacity through volunteers and teachers.
