Research
Thomas
Breslin is a Professor of International Relations. Dr. Breslin has written
a book on the use of pleasure in diplomacy, Beyond Pain. In addition,
he has written two books on U.S.-China relations: one on American Catholic
missionaries in China and a co-authored one on economic and political
issues associated with the U.S. response to the Chinese Revolution of
1911. He is currently writing a book on the ethnicity of American presidents
as a major factor in American foreign policy, and he is also developing
a comparative study of Roman Catholic missionary activity in early 20th
century China.
