The Ruth K. & Shepard Broad Educational Series
of The Department of International Relations
at Florida International University
2007-2008
Sponsored by
The Shepard Broad Foundation, Inc.
In our increasingly interconnected world, universities have a responsibility to educate competent world citizens. FIU has taken up this call by making international education a priority mission. We are grateful to the Shepard Broad Foundation for its support of this mission. With the foundation's help, we are able to bring to Miami and to our students the insights and points of view of intellectuals from countries around the world. We are able to broaden the debates about global issues that are taking place on our campus and in our classrooms.
This web site highlights the events that the Department of International Relations has organized under its Ruth K. and Shepard Broad Educational Series for the 2006/07 academic year. We are eager to foster an engagement among students, faculty, and with diverse South Florida constituencies and invite broad participation in these events.
