International
Exchange Program: The International Student Exchange Program
(ISE) provide students with the opportunity to study abroad
at one of the various universities that has an agreement with
Florida International University.
Full credit
is given for work satisfactorily completed during the exchange
program - as long as it has been pre-approved by an advisor.
ISE offers the opportunity to live abroad, explore other languages
and cultures, and become acquainted with new friends from
all over the world.

University
Outreach Study Abroad Programs: Study/Travel Programs
at FIU visit many interesting and exciting locations, including
China, Spain, Mexico, France and London and offer academic
credit for the experience! The courses are perfect for
teachers or other professionals who require continuing education
or re-certification, as well as for students looking for elective
credits.
Individuals
from the general public may also enroll in study/travel programs
as a special student or audit the course. To get started,

Asian
Studies Program: The Asian Studies Program, in collaboration
with the FIU Office of International Studies (OIS), supports
a variety of study abroad and student exchange programs with
universities in Asia.
These include summer
trips to Japan and China, such as the visit to art historical
sites in several cities in China led by Professor David Chang,
as well as one-semester or full academic year exchange programs
with Kansai Gaidai University and Kanda University of International
Studies in Japan. All students interested in these exciting
opportunities to visit Asia are encouraged to contact the

In addition, a limited
amount of scholarship funding may be available please
inquire with the ASP office about this possibility!
Fullbright
Program: The Fulbright Program was established to increase
mutual understanding between the people of the United States
and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge,
and skills.
Its primary source of
funding is an annual appropriation made by the United States
Department of State. Participating governments and host institutions
also contribute financial support through direct cost-sharing,
as well as through tuition waivers, university housing, and
other benefits.
Grants are made to citizens of participating countries, primarily
for:
university teaching;
advanced research;
graduate study; and
teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
