....Professor Nenzi in Japan....
On
April 15th, Assistant Professor Laura Nenzi visited the home of
Kurosawa Tokiko, a female political activist active in the 19th
century, in a small village about 90 minutes outside Tokyo, Japan.
Nenzi collected documents and met Kurosawa's 88 year old great great
grandson. Nenzi was in Japan collecting data for her next project on
Politics and Prophecy in 19th-century Japan. Her visit was featured in Ibaraki
Shinbun on April 22, 2007. The
title translates approximately as "Preserve Her Native Home at All
Costs! Prof. Nenzi from the U.S. researching Kurosawa Tokiko - Her
Visit to Shirosato to Collect Documents," and Professor Nenzi assures
us that FIU is mentioned in the article!
