Seema Sah , Laboratory Manager
MSc in Env Science, 2006 Florida International University
Ms. Sah is an ecologist and currently working as the Lab Coordinator and an adjunct lecturer in online class. She teaches Introduction to Environmental Science and Ecology of South Florida. Her interest includes soil and plant nutrient analysis, water pollution and faunal diversity, and environmental issues and management. Her primary research is in role of Mycorrhizae in agriculture in different environmental conditions. Sah is well versed in common laboratory procedures and analytical techniques. |

Kateel Shetty, Assistant
Scientist
His research interests are in discovery and development of microbial biocontrol agents for Brazilian pepper and other invasive plant species; Chemical ecology - the role of allelopathic interactions in suppression of invasive plant species; microbial biodegradation of marine biotoxins; microbial antagonists of toxic marine algae; indoor mold pollution; soil microbial diversity and arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis. |

Rahul Shrivastava, Research Associate
Rahul’s interests are in the human dimensions of natural resource conservation and management, protected area socio-economics, landuse change analysis and environmental attitudes. He is currently working on globalization and trade-related effects on environmental and social systems in the Caribbean . He has worked in a number of tropical and sub-tropical protected areas and was a Program Officer with WWF-India before joining FIU. |

Eliana Dominguez, Office
Manager
Ms. Dominguez earned two Bachelors Degrees from FIU in Political Science and French. Upon completing her research and thesis she will earn a Master's Degree in Linguistics'. Throughout her academic years she received the following awards: Outstanding Women of America, National Dean's List , Honorable Mention from L'Academie Francaise and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She also pursued certificate programs from the Institute of Cuban Studies and participated in Summer Programs at Harvard University. Outside the United States, she took part in the Linguistics Research Program in Florence, Venice, and Assisi (Italy). In the early 90s she led a group of art students from different academic colleges and universities from the US to Spain to study the works of Goya. She has worked as a translator for immigration to assist the Haitian community. She is the former President of the New Generation Association for the Cuban Museum (1985 - 1990) and was one of the founding members of the Miami International Film Society and continuing her participation every year. For the past thirty years has arduously worked as a volunteer in fundraising events for Lions International Association organizing toy drives during Christmas, donations for the homeless and the needy. She additionally donates her time and resources to help in HIV/AIDS fundraising. She continues to be supportive of numerous South Florida art events. She speaks English, Spanish, French (fluent), and some Portuguese and Italian. At the present date she is in the final stages of a manuscript (to be published March, 2006) where she writes about her personal experiences with Alzheimers, being the caregiver of her ailing mother. |
