"Infant learning to reference maternal emotional cues." Dissertation Award Recipient, by the International Society for Infant Studies (ISIS) 1992.

  Research Interests: Behavioral disorders such as attachment and separation anxiety, fear of strangers, fear of dark, the effects of maternal depression on infant social learning, the effects of touch on attention and socialization, infant cognitive development and the formation of stimulus equivalence, language acquisition in bilingual environments, theoretical issues in behavior analysis of development, and ataxonomy of rules and moral development.
