Grading policy
Mid term exam 33%
Final exam (non cumulative) 33%
Assignments and participation 24%
Attendance 10%
Mid-term and final exams will be muiple choice.
Assignments and participation will be based on 4-5 assignments and follow up discussions issued throughout the semester.
Attendance will be assessed by five random checks during the semester. For each posiitve attendance you will be awarded 2% added to your overall percentage. If you are not in the room for the roll call (late arrival, early departure) you will be regarded as not having attended.
Exam Attendance Policy
Examinations make up the larger part of the grade. The date of the exam is clearly set. If for some reason you cannot attend the exam you must contact me beforehand and later provide documentation of why you could not attend the exam. Only grave personal circumstances will be accepted as valid excuses for not taking an exam. For example, visiting aunts who need to be picked up at the airport, friends children who had to be picked up from daycare, bosses who demand overtime at the last minute will not be accepted as excuses.
