Welcome to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. The Department offers programs in initial teacher preparation at the undergraduate and masters levels leading to certification in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and Secondary areas.

The Department offers a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with specialization tracks in Elementary Education, English Education, Learning Technologies, Math Education, Modern Language Education (with a track in TESOL), Science Education, Social Studies Education, Special Education, Physical Education, and Curriculum Development. Additionally, the Department offers Advanced Masters in Reading Education and Art Education."

The Education Specialist (Ed.S.) and the Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Curriculum and Instruction are also offered in the department. Areas of specialization include Art Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English Education, Instructional Leadership, International and Intercultural Development Education, Learning Technologies, Mathematics Education, Modern Languages/Bilingual Education, Reading Education, Science Education, and Social Studies Education.

We also offer a full-time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction with concentration in three areas: Curriculum Studies; Language, Literacy and Culture; and  Mathematics, Science and Learning Technologies. 

The College of Education is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education ( NCATE ), and all our teacher education programs are approved by the State of Florida Department of Education.
