Overview

Each year, Career Services sponsors two major Career Fairs, in the Fall and Spring at both the University Park and Biscayne Bay Campuses. The Fall events are typically held in September or October and the Spring events are usually held the last week of January or early February. Career Fairs are extremely popular events with an average of 150-165 companies and 1500-1800 students participating at the University Park campus. View current Career Fairs & Forums>>

What is a Career Fair?
Career Fairs are major campus events with a broad representation of companies in attendance. These events enable you to personally meet and interact with recruiters from the organizations/companies that participate. In the broadest sense, Career Fairs enable you to build your network of employment contacts. Check out “How to Prepare for Career Fair” for tips on making the most of these events.

What is a Career Forum?
By contrast, Career Forums are smaller events sponsored in collaboration with individual academic departments which bring employers from a specific industry segment to the campus to interact with you. Although the format of each forum may vary the purpose of all the forums is the same- to provide you with information from employers in your field regarding the academic preparation and skills that you need to be successful. In addition, Forums provide you one more means of networking with employers to find internships or jobs!

These are events that you should not let pass by! They are wonderful opportunities to find jobs and internships for any time of the year. You are encouraged to dress professionally and bring several copies of your resume.

Accommodations:
Career Services provides reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. Students requesting reasonable accommodation(s) must contact Career Services at least 3 business days prior to the service/program or event.

FIU Career Fairs are open to FIU students and alumni

We hope that you join us for the Career Fair!
