With that in mind, I would like to highlight a few initiatives that will assist you in becoming savvier in your job search process.

  • We’re running our Panther Passport special through February 28th, so membership will be available at $15 per student.
  • Mega Career Expo Week at the University Park Campus will occur from January 16-27.
  • First 100 who sign-up! News is we’re offering Executive Protégé Initiative…the knowledge of career readiness skills as well as receive some perks for actively participating. You’ll receive a career survival kit a week before the Expo, a special Executive Protégé name badge and early entrance into the career fair, available career coaching on the day of the event, and more. Furthermore, you have access to a student lounge to run through your last minute adjustments before interacting with company representatives. You will need to register for the Executive Protégé Initiative and actively participated in the initial information sessions and workshops.
  • Technical and Non-Technical Career Fairs will be on January 29th and 30th at the University Park Campus and the Career & Internship Fair will be on February 28th at the Biscayne Bay Campus.
  • Join the Career Team during this basketball season! We will host several tailgates during the season with alumni/ae and company representatives. Come to the game and cheer for the home team! Collect some memorabilia, business cards from employers over food and beverages. Catch the Panther Pride!
  • We’re hosting the first every “get out and study” open house during the week of finals. Stop by Career Services located in the Graham Center, Suite 230 between 8:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. for coffee and snacks during the week of final exams (Monday, April 23rd through Friday, April 27th).

Thank you for actively participating in your career management by using the online resources and I would recommend that you take full advantage of the staff as well. Please contact me personally at 305.348.6725, email Lenroy.Jones@FIU.edu or arrange an appointment to meet with me by contacting Mrs. Grace Mayorga at 305.348.3420 to provide feedback and/or ideas on how we can increase the quality of services and resources.
