Prior to FIU: Transferred from Dodge City CC where he played for head coach Mike Jones…participated in the Jayhawk League West All-Star Game and in the NBC World Series with the El Dorado Broncos…at Dodge City, hit .317 with 10 home runs, 51 RBI and 21 stolen bases as a sophomore…hit .385 as a freshman, 12 HR, 58 RBI and 15 stolen bases…played for head coach Jose Novas at Coral Park High School…was also a two-year high school letterwinner in football…recruited by Ole Miss, Nebraska, Tennessee Tech, Marshall, Kansas State and Georgia State.
